We offer individual services for adolescents (aged 15+), adults, and all members of various cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, family units, etc. Following social work value, KNM Counseling strives to ensure all therapists create a strong therapeutic alliance with clients to foster growth and healing.
Generally, individual services follow a structured approach in which the first sessions are intended to create a valuable relationship of trust and safety for the client. During these sessions, a client can be expected to be asked about recent events, employment history, current family, and notable values, lessons, and/or memories shaping their current outlook on life. This information helps the clinician gather a rounded understanding of the client so that they can work together to create a collaborative treatment plan identifying goals that when achieved will create an overall positive impact in life.
Sessions are 60 minutes or 45 minutes in length. Longer sessions are available upon request at self-pay rates. Frequency of sessions is determined based on client and therapist collaboration and determination of need.
